I was in Atlantic City last week end for the Martial Arts Convention. It was pretty cool. Saw some demonstrations, browsed some merchandise, saw my Sifu receive an award for being in the arts for 30 years, and had a good winning streak at blackjack.

The trophies and awards were abundant at the awards ceremony and banquet Saturday night. It was so bad that awards were given from about the time we sat down to about a half hour after we finished dessert. The sheer number of names they read off made it feel like a graduation ceremony.

But I'm sure you're more interested in gambling than a shiny trophy. Friday afternoon, I dropped $100 at the blackjack table. Friday night, I returned to the scene of the crime to drop another $50, but I had purchased $70 worth of chips, so I walked away with $20 worth of chips in my pocket. Saturday afternoon, I returned to the blackjack tables after lunch and some martial arts demonstrations with my chips and was able to raise it up to $80. A break, a banquet, seven hours, and I was back. My $80 rose to $300 over the course of an hour. When the table minimum raised, it was a good time to quit while I was ahead.

So thank you to the Tropicana in Atlantic City for giving me enough money to pay for a night in your hotel. Who knows what would have happened if I didn't quit in the middle of my winning streak when I did.

There's just an amazing feeling when inspiration strikes. After spending a day with good friends that I hadn't see in a while, I went home and watched some tv. Hey, The Simpsons and Alias weren't going to watch themselves!

As I sat at my desk, I looked up at the flickering light from the winged cat votive holder and saw the lights dance off my 12" Pinhead and I knew what my next creation would be. The Lament Configuration! If I can get the detailing, it would look so badass!

First, the Muppets became a computer, now the doorway to Hell!
