I was sitting here watching Pump up the Volume on cable and cleaning out one of the shelves in my desk. Old floppy discs, cards, manuals from things I don't even use anymore, etc. Yeah, it's been that long since I cleaned it. My current computers don't even have floppy drives.

Amidst the Apple Computer stickers and watches, I found a package of old pictures from about 10 years ago. Pictures of people from the camp I worked at and college. I couldn't name everyone in the pictures, especially those I only knew for the one summer, but it was kinda sad to see pictures of people I'd spent years with and will probably never talk to or see again. I had alot of good time at SUNY Albany (of which I found the pictures) and Ramapo College, but as it is I talk to no one from Albany and two people from Ramapo.

I miss the times without responsibility when the worst thing you could do is skip class or fail a test, ignorant of the inner workings of the real world. I miss my old friends, old loves (both lost and unrequited), and the good times we had.

And as I was going through these pictures, all I could hear in my head was Rush's Time Stands Still.

Aight, cleaned up my site a bit. Got rid of the scrolling and stuff. I have a page or two to add, but they can wait.

And those of you who came through friends' blogs, feel free to add your site to the links page through the form on the left side. And feel free to link back here if you do so.

I know I said I'd post something more up last night, but fuck it. It ain't gonna happen. I'm just too busy with the holidays and all. I got home last night and babysat my nephew until company came for the seder. Tonight, it's off to the aunt's for the second seder. I always prefer these things at my parents' house.

The second topic yesterday was going to be the tenth anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain. I wasn't a fan then, kinda like his music now and had other things to say, but I think I'll leave it with a personal thought and not delve as deeply into it as I was going to.

People claim they remember where they were when they heard Kurt Cobain killed himself. I don't. I just remember that I was away at SUNY Albany at the time. I do remember a group of us hanging out in my friend Yvonne's (aka Da Blonde's) room, and she had the Time with Kurt on the cover. I just didn't care, since I wasn't a fan. Now, I'm more annoyed that I'm forced to hear about the exploits of Courtney Love, who used the death of Kurt Cobain to catapult herself into the spotlight.

I've felt so emo lately. That's the best way to put it. Don't worry, I won't put out a cd of me whining to music.

I've also been looking at this site and think it's time to make some changes. A new page or two, a lil change up and I'm getting rid of the javascript scrolling. It has begun to annoy me, and really doesn't make the page easy to read. It's a real form over function dealie.

I have a diatribe I want to post later today, but I think the scrolling will make it hard to read. At least the comments section will let you read the rants easier for now.
