It's amazing how busy you get when you have so much free time. I've had time to build computers, read alot, and watch some new DVDs.

In the last week alone, I've read several books and graphic novels. For my non-fiction fix, I picked up Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions. It's amazing how the M.I.T. Poker Team was able to rock these casinos for so much money so easily. Makes me want to go gambling again. Essential Tomb Of Dracula Volume 2 was a good fix of 70's horror comics, plus it's where the character Blade came from for Wesley Snipes to make millions off of. Superman & Batman: Public Enemies just seemed to fall short. I think Jeph Loeb is overrated, his stories always seem to fall short for me and there are always cop-outs, plot holes and weak endings. New X-Men Vol. 6: Planet X brought Warren Ellis' X-Men run to an end and all I can say is "uhhhh... ok." He's a great writer, but the story made just a moderate amount of sense, but it's ok because the ending pretty much chages "history" and none of it ever happens. And finally, Transmetropolitan: One More Time ends the story of Spider Jerusalem and Warren Ellis shows us the final showdown between Spider and The Smiler. Add to this the comic books and magazines I also read and you'd be amazed I had time to read all the websites I do, go out, do kung-fu, build computers, etc.

Picked up some awesome DVDs to waste time with, too. Invader ZIM Vol. 1, The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (Widescreen mandatory!), and Buffy The Vampire Slayer - The Complete Sixth Season. Those should keep me busy for the week, especially since I watch DVDs while working at the computer.

And as for computers, the third Chaotic Computer is underway. I think it'll rock as hard as the Wrestlemania and Muppters computers.

And some good news: I got my purple sash in kung-fu. One step closer to the black sash!

For the better part of April and May, I went without shaving. It started out that I had no reason to shave, so I was lazy. After a week, it was quite a bit of facial hair and knowing how long it would take to remove, I continued to be lazy and didn't shave. After a month, I had a full, heavy beard. Knowing how much my parents hated it, I decided to remove it as an early Mother's Day present last week.

The Friday night before Mother's Day, I took out the old electric razor and removed alot of the growth. It's a bit old and rarely used, so It hurt quite a bit as it rippled the bristles from my face. Then I followed up with the Mach 3 that sat unused for the course of the month. There was still quite a bit of hair that needed to be removed, and thankfully it didn't clog the sink this time. It took over a half hour to remove, but the results were looking good. Saturday morning, I followed up with a fresh razor blade to catch all the little hairs the used razor missed the day before and to straighten the side burns.

Between the short haircut I got during the week and the feshly shaved face, I barely recognized myself in the mirror. It was a weird feeling for a few days.

It's now been a week since then and I haven't shaved since. I really don't want to go through all the work to remove it if I keep letting it grow, so it'll probably be gone soon. But if I do grow it out again, there's no way I'll be taking all that time again. It'll be off to the barber shop to let them do it for me with a straight razor.

Assorted thoughts, things, and what-not from the last week...

Spent last sunday at the Yankees game. It was cold, it was wet, and it was fun. Good time with good friends. And as an added bonus, celebrity sightings. Rachel Dratch and Tina Fey were one section to the left of me. And as much as I like Tina Fey, across the aisle to my left sat Rachael Ray, and she looks even more beautiful in person than she does on Food Network.

Finished the Wrestlemania Chaotic Computer. It came out well and should be up on the Chaotic Computing site this week.

Went out to lunch with an old friend on Friday. I had the best time and can't wait to do it again!

A few changes to the site. Made a couple changes to the comments pages to just clean them up, added a site map to index the site, and a page for the cartoons I make. I need to add the cartoon page to the site navigation, but it's there if anyone wants to look at it.

Until next time...
